Where do you work?
I live in Melbourne but I’m happy to travel anywhere in Australia.

What do you charge?

Does it cost extra for you to work away from Melbourne
Yes. You must pay for travel and accommodation.

Are there any jobs you don’t take?
I like to be busy. Therefore, I don’t take jobs where bookings are slow or you want me to “just look after a few emergencies while I’m away”.

Are there any limitation on when you will work?
I don’t work on weekends, before 7.00am or after 8.00pm. I work maximums of 10 hours per day and 42 hours per week.

What treatments can you do?
Endodontics, crowns (including implants), bridges, cosmetic dentistry, veneers, orthodontics (fixed, removable and Invisalign), digital radiography, amalgam fillings, amalgam-free dentistry, porcelain inlays, composite resin fillings, occlusal splints, whitening, surgical extractions, air abrasion, electrosurg, and more…

What treatments don’t you do?
Gum grafts, very difficult surgical extractions, implant surgery and laser.

Are you computer literate?
Yes, totally. I have experience with Dental4Windows, Dentrix, Oasis, Exact, PracticeWorks and Ultimo.

Do I pay you for holidays and super?
I’m employed as a consultant so you don’t pay super, holiday pay or sick pay. I charge GST but you claim that back.

  • Benefits of my services

I work efficiently and make a profit.

I adapt to your style of dentistry and do things the way you want them done.

I'm very experienced and can do far more work per day than a "junior" dentist.

I'll only say positive things about your work and your office.

I won't attempt heroic treatments and leave you to pick up the pieces.

I'll use the materials you have and won't ask you to buy special things just for me.

I can handle almost any type of treatment.

After 30 years in dentistry I knows what works. You won't come back from holiday to find unpleasant surprises.

If you employ "junior" dentists who require occasional assistance I'm happy to do that.

  • Locum success

For a locum dentist to be successful your staff must be supportive. Unless your staff are prepared to get behind a locum 100% you are better to close your practice.

Also, if your practice is quiet and you want a locum to "just look after a few emergencies" please don't call me. You'll only get value out of me if you keep me busy.
